![]() ![]() They miss what makes subsequent episodes reliably amazing-instead opting to drown you with characters with a capital C and over-sentimentality. ![]() This time, however, I can confidently say that the first two episodes of Murder, She Wrote are not that great. The second watching of these episodes came a couple months ago and I’ll admit I was so stunned at having absolutely no recollection of them that I didn’t question what was happening too deeply. Basically I’m saying I was missing that all-important critical eye in my naïve early-twenties. And, finally, I spent a lot of time alone. Plus, I love an investigation, especially one into a murder. Back then, I had just come off a stint watching all of Doogie Howser, M.D., as well as the first season of Charles in Charge, and was just happy revisiting the half-remembered (possibly a trend) characters of my youth. However, I imagine my first watching was hazy with warm nostalgic feelings and, likely, an adult beverage. However, I will let you know that the very first two episodes of MSW are kind of a disappointment, especially the third time around.Īs I’ve mentioned, I can’t remember the first time I watched them.
